2 women report sexual assault, suspicious behavior on Salmon Creek trail

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Authorities are investigating suspicious incidents reported along the Salmon Creek trail near Klineline Park this past week.

One woman reported being sexually assaulted on the trail last week, while another woman said a man was filming her while she was running in the park on Monday, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said.

On September 3, at 3:42 p.m., a woman called 911 to report that an "unidentified man ran up behind her and forcefully grabbed her buttocks" while she was walking her dog going eastbound on the trail toward Klineline Park.

After the man grabbed the woman, he continued east on the trail, then silently looked back at the woman before continuing on, the sheriff's office said.

The victim described the suspect as a man in his 20s with a slight tan,
