The NFL made a decision regarding Jalen Carter after he spit on Dak Prescott’s chest while an injured Eagles player was being tended to in the opening seconds of Philadelphia’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The league announced the defensive tackle received a one-game suspension "for his act of unsportsmanlike conduct."
However, Carter will be eligible to play in Week 2.
The NFL decided because Carter was ejected before he played a single play, the suspension is considered served. Carter, however, will forfeit his game check from Week 1 and will not appeal the NFL’s decision.
