The Canadian men’s national soccer team just did something that they’ve never done before.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup less than a year away, the Canadian men have been hard at work prepping for the tournament. Most recently, Canada has been touring Europe for a pair of friendlies against UEFA nations.
Things started great with a 3-0 Canadian victory against Romania last week, and they followed that up with a gutsy 1-0 win in Wales on Tuesday afternoon.
The victories represent the first time in the program’s history, dating all the way back to 1912, that Canada has defeated two UEFA opponents in consecutive games on European soil.
