PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman was arrested Monday after being accused of criminal charges in connection with a fatal crash in Gresham back in May, authorities said.
Gresham resident Camille Zoto, 30, was indicted by a grand jury on charges related to the crash on the evening of May 31, in which a pedestrian was struck by a car and killed near Northeast 181st Avenue between Northeast Glisan Street and Northeast Wasco Street.
At the time, authorities said medics attempted life-saving measures on the pedestrian, but the person died at the scene. The driver, later identified as Zoto, also allegedly crashed into a power pole at the time but no outages were reported. Zoto also stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation on the night of the crash.
