GATES, N.Y. (WROC) — The Gates Police Department is seeking information after a mobile speed sign was damaged on Green Acre Lane.

According to police, the department was notified by a resident that the mobile speed sign was not working and appeared to be damaged.

When officers arrived to examine the sign, they discovered that the speed sign trailer's lockbox lock and wires had been cut, which destroyed the computer within the device.

At this time, Gates PD has said the person responsible for damaging the device is unknown.
