BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -Hunger Action Month is a national campaign held every September by Feeding America. This year, the local chapter of the organization, Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland, got to celebrate in its new distribution hub in Bowling Green.

“Hunger Action Month is something that started with our national office, I believe about 15 years ago,” said FAKH executive director Charles Dennis. “It’s just a way to really raise awareness about the issue, kind of in preparation for the holidays, because the holidays are a great time where a lot of families get together and make great memories, and so we just want our communities to think about those families.”
