AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is offering a free self-defense class designed for women in high school and college.

It will take place from 7-8 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior and Youth Center, 841 Edgefield Ave. Northwest.

Nonprofit aims to educate, support lung cancer community

LiveLung, a nonprofit organization, invited the CSRA’s lung cancer community to its educational meeting on Tuesday.

The program will focus on fundamental safety awareness, including self-defense techniques and situational awareness.

Participants will have opportunities to build confidence and acquire practical safety skills in a positive and supportive environment.
