Hundreds of people gathered on Chicago's Michigan Avenue Tuesday afternoon for an emergency protest against the launch of a new operation to "target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois" that the Trump administration is calling " Operation Midway Blitz. "

Protestors together around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Ida B Wells Drive and Michigan Avenue near Chicago's Grant Park.

The protest was coordinated by two groups, Coalition Against the Trump Agenda and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
