“ Song Sung Blue ,” a movie based on the true story of a musical couple, is headed to theaters this Christmas.

Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson star in the Focus Features film, based on a Neil Diamond tribute act.

The first trailer has just been released for the movie (watch below), which filmed in New Jersey.

“Song Sung Blue” filmed last year, from October to December, in seven counties (see specific Jersey filming locations below).

Craig Brewer (”Dolemite is My Name,” “Coming 2 America,” “Hustle & Flow”) wrote, directed and produced the movie, based on Greg Kohs ' 2008 documentary of the same name about Mike and Claire Sardina, which takes its name from the 1972 Neil Diamond song .
