DENVER (KKTV) - Two men were sentenced to several years in federal prison for their part in a fraud scheme in Colorado, according to the Department of Justice.

The DOJ said 60-year-old Mark Perlstein pled guilty to wire fraud in June, and 52-year-old Michael Vergato, his co-defendant, was convicted on six counts of wire fraud in May.

According to the DOJ, Perlstein and Vergato funneled nearly $2 million from Arrow Electronics, a data management company, to a shell company created by Vergato, Oracle Performance Tuning and Optimization, LLC, or “OPTO”.

The DOJ said Perlstein, the CEO of Arrow, approved invoices and wired payments to OPTO.
