OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - “The alternative is to just go out of business.”

For Alex Wolf, creating board games is his dream.

But right now, survival is his mission.

His company, Spielcraft, is one of several board game makers suing the federal government over tariffs on imports from China.

A judge ruled those tariffs unconstitutional back in May — but because the case is still under appeal, the extra costs haven’t gone away.

Wolf says it’s crushing him.

“Between paying for the manufacturing and having it shipped to the U.S., the whole tariff situation started. I ended up having to pay a 20% tariff as a big surprise — a little over $6,000,” Wolf added.

That money meant canceling projects. And the one campaign he has left could be the biggest gamble of his career.
