DIXON, Ill. (KWQC) - Dixon Police Department’s K-9 Vesuc has received a donation of body armor.
K-9 Vesuc with the Dixon Police Department received a donated bullet and stab protective vest from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc, officials said. K9 Vesuc’s vest was sponsored by the 2024 Fallen K9 Hero Fundraiser hosted by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of the K9s who served and sacrificed in 2024.”
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. was established in 2009, and is a 501 (c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
