PEORIA, Ill. – An investigation is underway to determine the cause of a garage fire early Tuesday morning in Peoria’s East Bluff.

Crews were searching for a fire at around 5:30 A.M. after finding smoke in the area of Knoxville and McClure. They then found a one stall detached garage fully engulfed on Dechman and Archer.

Peoria Fire says the fire was spreading to an adjacent two stall garage nearby.

The fire was put out within 15 minutes.

The one stall garage and its contents were a total loss, while the adjacent garage sustained exterior roof damage. Total damage estimates were around $40,000.

There were no injuries.

Peoria Fire’s arson dog Rock was brought in to help investigate.
