WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (TMX) - A Virginia man is facing charges for allegedly secretly filming “thousands of” men in a public bathroom since as early as 1996, and police are searching for additional potential victims.

The Williamsburg Police Department said Monday that it is seeking information in an ongoing investigation into unlawful filming in a public restroom in the area of South Henry Street and Duke of Gloucester Street.

The investigation began on Aug. 2 when officers responded to the area for a reported incident of unlawful filming.

Officers contacted the Criminal Investigations Bureau, which obtained and executed multiple search warrants related to the case.
