San Bernardino County supervisors approved a 50-home development in the Big Bear area Tuesday, Sept. 9, following a three-year pause imposed by a Superior Court judge.
Critics of the housing and boating development in Fawnskin argue that it poses a threat to the habitat of two nesting bald eagles in the area.
The vote Tuesday marked the second time in nine months that the Board of Supervisors approved the Moon Camp project. The board gave the development its blessing in January but an issue with providing the public with notice of the hearing brought it back for a second vote.
