LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The College of Southern Nevada is making state history by launching the first-ever funeral service program.

The program is designed to train the next generation of professionals who will guide families through life’s most difficult moments. Until now, Nevadans had to go out of state for funeral service training. CSN’s new program changes that.

“To have a program on-site now that allows students to get educated, to get a job right after, it’s making the system a lot better for our city,” said program director and instructor Dr. Raymond Louis Giddens Jr.
