WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (KY3) - The Pulaski County Sheriff Stacy Ball returned to work after getting injured in a crash that totaled his patrol car.

The crash happened on August 25 around midnight. Sheriff Ball got a call about shots being fired. En route, he was looking for updates from dispatch, but there weren’t any.

“So we continued on, and somewhere along that route on Highway NN, which was the road I was on, the accident happened,” said Sheriff Ball. “And I don’t recall much of anything after that except for being in a helicopter going back to Springfield.”

According to Sheriff Ball he isn’t sure what cause the crash. The report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates the car hit a ditch and overturned. While Ball doesn’t remember what happened, there are a few things he does
