Police say a shooting outside a North Richland Hills amusement park that claimed the life of a young mother began over a wristwatch.

Tychriston Reed, 18, remains in jail on $2.1 million bond on nine charges and could face even more charges, according to police.

As new details emerge in the investigation, the family of DaShayla Jones, 21, spoke with NBC 5’s Maria Guerrero about their loss.

“I’ve been down this road and it’s not a pretty one,” said Pierre Booker. “I done lost two kids to random acts of violence in crazy ways.”
