BLANCHARD, Okla. (KFOR) — The McClain County Sheriff’s Office says a several-hour-long standoff is underway at a home in Blanchard with possible victims inside.
The sheriff’s office told News 4 that deputies responded to a welfare call at 11:53 a.m. near 300th Street and Coyle Drive. Deputies say a neighbor had reported a possible shooting at a home in the neighborhood.
According to McClain County Sheriff’s office spokesperson Cary Bryant, when deputies tried to enter the home, they found two individuals who authorities believe are likely dead and a man armed with a gun.
Bryant said deputies pulled back to plan a tactical response, and the suspect has barricaded himself inside the house.
