GATES, Tenn. - A 22-year-old man was shot and killed in Gates, Tenn. on Saturday, Sept. 6, officials said.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office, working with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations and the 25th Judicial District Attorney General, is investigating the homicide, officials said.

According to Lauderdale County Sheriff Brian Kelley, deputies responded to the shooting in the northern part of the town.
