Balzac residents continued their fight Tuesday against a company requesting approval from Rocky View County to build a large data centre complex on prime farming land.

In a public meeting, key stakeholders tightened their grip on their speeches as residents, the applicant, and administration met to present their sides and discuss the future of a proposed agricultural land-use site northeast of Calgary.

Kineticor, the applicant, is proposing the 1,100-acre Area Structure Plan for the use of large-scale technology infrastructure north of Highway 566 and west of Range Road 281. A plan that they say will bring in revenue to the area.
