MENOMONIE (WQOW) - University of Wisconsin-Stout's Heritage Hall has welcomed hundreds of thousands of students through its doors, and now a major renovation hopes to keep it welcoming students for generations to come.

Heritage Hall is currently over 50 years old, and while it is structurally sound, according to UW-Stout Chancellor Katherine Frank, it's outdated for modern educational needs.

"Education has changed over the years, disciplines evolve over the years and while we are building this for certain disciplines that we have before us today, we know that they will continue to evolve into the future so we want a building that can flex with those programs," Chancellor Frank said.
