CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The current mayor for the city of Charlotte, who is up for reelection in 2025, was not speaking to the media on Tuesday night following the city’s primary election , her campaign said.

A campaign spokesperson told WBTV on Tuesday, Sept. 9 that incumbent Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles would not be holding a watch party after Tuesday’s municipal primary election . Lyles would also not be taking questions from the media on Tuesday, officials said.
