“It’s disgusting,” Garcia Domen said. “It’s bad enough when people don’t take care of their yards, let alone, you’re going to see a lineup of trash cans. It doesn’t make you feel good.”

Domen is fed up. She signed up for recycling services as soon as they became available in her neighborhood in the Limestone County portion of Madison in 2019. But now, she said she sometimes ends up throwing the recycling in the trash just so it will get picked up.
