WILLIAMSTON, Mich. (WLNS) - The Williamston boys soccer team picked up its fifth straight win on Tuesday night, defeating St. Johns 3-1.
The Hornets got on the board first on a well-struck shot from sophomore Gray Goodreau in the 18th minute.
With less than a minute to go in the first half, senior Preston Fuller volleyed in a loose ball in the box and celebrated with a backflip to give the Hornets a 2-0 lead at the break.
St. Johns cut the deficit in half just three minutes into the second half when a Williamston attempt to clear the ball off the goal line hit St. Johns sophomore Ian Beltran and ricocheted into the net.
