The race for Boston City Hall may have devoured all the headlines, but voters across Massachusetts had their say in a handful of no less important preliminary elections on Tuesday night.
Here’s a look at who won and who lost in those contests.
In Springfield , the city held a preliminary election for the Ward 4 and 6 City Council seats, as well as the School Committee’s District 3.
In Ward 4, Councilor Malo L. Brown took 44% of the vote, according to unofficial tallies on the city’s website .
Candidates Willie James Naylor, Kenneth Barnett, and Beverly L. Savage trailed at 32.3%, 12.1%, and 10.7% respectively, unofficial tallies showed.
