VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) – Evergreen Public Schools announced there would be no classes again on Wednesday Sept. 10, as PSE union members continued to strike.
The strike began Tuesday, Aug. 26, on the district’s first scheduled day of school for the year , and entered its third week Monday.
Almost 1,400 school employees are represented by the union, including bus drivers and support staff.
During the stoppage, school buildings are closed, according to the district.
Meals have still been available to students during the strike. Some child care, sports practices, and events have also continued.
The strike has taken its toll on some students and parents.
