HAMDEN, CT. (WFSB) - Adam Sendroff was victorious in a five way democratic primary in Hamden.

He was born and raised in the town and previously served on the board of education for 10 years. He also headed up Hamden’s community center.

“I think they probably saw somebody they could see as mayor, who has the experience and vision necessary to lead Hamden into the future with all different challenges that we have,” he said.

This comes after incumbent mayor Lauren Garrett decided that she wouldn’t seek a third term.

Hamden Legislative Council President Dominique Baez, who had the endorsement of the democratic town committee, Peter Cyr, Walter Morton, and Lushonda Howard were the other democratic candidates on the ballot.
