Wheeling, WV – A Pennsylvania man with a history of robbery convictions was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in federal prison for robbing a bank in Wheeling, prosecutors announced.

Frank L. Morrison, 59, of Braddock Hills, Pennsylvania, received a 120-month prison sentence for the September 2018 robbery of United Bank in the Elm Grove neighborhood.

According to court documents, Morrison entered the bank wearing a mask, took $4,200 in cash, and fled on foot. Investigators later recovered the discarded mask and other items from a nearby dumpster. DNA evidence from the mask linked Morrison to the crime.

Morrison has a lengthy criminal record, including prior convictions for armed bank robbery, robbery, and access device fraud.
