Foreign e-commerce giants like Amazon, Temu and Shein have experienced growth of over 25 per cent in Australia over the last year, new research shows.

Fast fashion retailer Shein has seen a growth of 27 per cent, while Temu and Amazon have seen nearly one million more customers in the last 12 months, according to figures released by Roy Morgan.

Temu's revenue rose by $1 billion, while Shein recorded $1.3 billion in sales, up $300 million year-on-year.

The news highlights the struggles faced by Australian retailers, with some seeing drops of over 10 per cent in shoppers over the last year.

Kogan.com has seen an 11 per cent drop, while The Reject Shop and Best & Less also had a reduction in customers.
