AVERILL PARK, NY (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga Springs Girls Soccer team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 1-0 victory over Averill Park.

The Blue Streaks and Golden Knights both had chances early, however the goalies were both making saves. Olivia Goodman made a diving stop for Saratoga early while Gianna Pietrafesa shut down the early chances from the Blue Streaks.

The game would go to the half in a scoreless draw, while neither team had converted on an opportunity, Saratoga was knocking on the door.

To start the second half, it was more of the same, with each team getting chances but neither finding the back of the net.
