Travel chaos beckons for a third day across the London Underground network as the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) members strike. Union members voted overwhelmingly to take action after negotiations failed to resolve a long-running dispute over pay and conditions, following the union's demand for a 32‑hour week vs TfL's 3.4 per cent pay rise offer.

The strikes by continue today (Wednesday, September 10) leading to bedlam for commuters, tourists and other passengers. Buses have been busier than usual and more passengers travelled on the Elizabeth Line and London Overground, which were not directly involved in the strike, leading to scenes of packed carriages.

There was also a huge increase in the number of people hiring e-bikes to get around London. There
