A New Castle County Councilman is calling for the resignations of Appoquinimink Superintendent Dr. Matt Burrows and Board President Richard Forsten in the wake of an audit released last week into the district's finances.
The Appoquinimink School District has under extra scrutiny after a projected surplus of $7.9 million in a May report suddenly dropped to just $3.1 million, below Delaware's standards of funds for two payroll cycles.
