Simon Goodwin declined an invite to attend Melbourne’s best and fairest on Tuesday night as the 2021 AFL premiership coach weighs up several career options for next year.

The former Demons coach was sacked by Melbourne last month with three games left in the season, having not won a final since the drought-breaking flag he led the club to four years ago.

Goodwin has no shortage of job opportunities for next year, having already met with Sydney and GWS.
