LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. - Authorities in Lassen County have uncovered illegal marijuana cultivation activities taking place in the northern part of the county.

The investigation started in July 2025, led by the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and Lassen County Code Enforcement.

Officials identified several sites where marijuana was being grown without the necessary licenses from the state or county.

From September 2 to September 5, the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, along with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations and the California Department of Justice's Eradication & Prevention of Illicit Cannabis (EPIC), executed search warrants on six different locations in Lassen County.
