The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has outlined financial help available for women born in the 1950s impacted by changes to their State Pension age. Pensions Minister Torsten Bell said the DWP is “absolutely committed to supporting pensioners and giving them the dignity and security they deserve in retirement”. ‌

The DWP minister’s comments came in a written response to Liberal Democrat MP Edward Morello, who asked “what support is available for women born in the 1950s impacted by State Pension age changes” in his constituency of West Dorset. ‌
