(KFVS) - Dry and gradually warmer conditions will continue at least through the weekend as a strong upper ridge remains parked over the middle of the country.

Brian Alworth says models show this as a bit of a “dirty high,” so there may be some clouds and even an isolated shower at times, but for the most part, our weather will be hot and dry.

In the shorter term, today will bring official afternoon highs of about 85 to 90, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
