From carnival classics to hometown standbys, the Danville Pittsylvania County Fair is offering new food vendors for its nine-day run that begins Friday.

The fan favorites — cotton candy, funnel cakes and corn dogs — will be available alongside new vendors.

Some have local connections and followings like Ry’s Pies ‘n Cobblers.

“That’s homemade pies and cobblers, like grandma used to make,” Bonnie McDarmont, who’s in charge of marketing and advertising for the fair, told the Register & Bee in an interview Friday night.

There’s also the Holy Macaroni food truck, which features build-your-own mac and cheese bowls.

“Of course, we have our classics like O’Kelly’s that have been there, Danville knows and likes,” she said, referencing the deli and bakery with stores throughout the region.
