A deputy-involved shooting was reported early Wednesday morning in South St. Augustine in the area of 1st Street and Brainard Drive, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

The area is about half a mile east of U.S. 1 near Moultrie Creek.

Residents should expect a heavy law enforcement presence in the area.
