Lakewood, NJ – A Toms River man was killed Saturday when his motorcycle slammed into a car after running a red light in Ocean County, according to police.
Anthony Ferrentino, 33, was riding south on Shorrock Street when he struck a vehicle turning left from Four Seasons Boulevard, Lakewood police said Tuesday.
Two witnesses stopped at the intersection told investigators Ferrentino failed to stop at the red light before colliding with the car.
The impact threw Ferrentino from the motorcycle. He was rushed to Ocean Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the other vehicle was not reported injured.
