Montanans in Kalispell, Havre or Billings who want to give feedback to the state on school funding will have a chance to do so in those communities next week, and a Zoom option is scheduled Sept. 24.

Every 10 years, Montana education stakeholders examine and make recommended changes to the state’s school funding formula through a process often referenced as the “decennial study.”

The School Funding Interim Commission is made up of 20 lawmakers and eight other statewide education leaders, including the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Commissioner of Higher Education, and the Chair of the Board of Public Education.
