CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Charlotte City Councilman Malcolm Graham will host a news conference at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Charlotte Transit Station in Uptown.

The event comes at a time of growing concern over public safety in the city’s transit system, and as several major leadership roles in the city could change.

Queen City News will livestream the news conference so residents can follow along in real time.

Councilman Graham is expected to speak on: • Transit Safety: Following a string of violent incidents on CATS buses and light rail, and a newly launched state audit into the system, Graham will provide updates on efforts to improve safety for riders and staff • City Leadership Searches: Updates on search for a new City Attorney and Police Chief • Corridors of Opportunity
