A woman already charged with murder in the killing of her mental health counselor faces new charges connected with the killing of her boyfriend a week prior.

Monet Thompson, 49, was already in custody on a murder charge in the killing of Allison McIntyre on Oct. 3, 2024.

Annapolis police have since charged Thompson with the killing of her boyfriend, John Logan, on Sept. 26, 2024. Police said detectives identified Thompson as a suspect from the beginning but needed to build an airtight case.

“We do know that she was the trigger-puller in both crimes,” Annapolis Police Chief Edward Jackson told 11 News.

Logan was found fatally shot in his apartment on Georgetown Road in Annapolis, where neighbors like Angela Graham vividly remember the emergency response.
