Week 2 of high school football was a wild one across South Carolina. Shocking results, last-minute scores and new records being set left and right. Two of those record breakers were in the Lakelands. A couple of friends at a couple of schools that secured big wins: Greenwood’s Triston Lewis and Dixie’s Brandon Nance.
Lewis, Greenwood’s quarterback, set a school record with 423 passing yards and five touchdowns through the air. He also added 75 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown in the Eagles’ 42-41 win over Dorman. Nance put up five touchdowns, a new Dixie record, along with 143 rushing yards.
For their performances, they are named the Commercial Lawn and Turf Co-Players of the Week.
