KINGSTON, N.Y. — City and immigrant advocates have confirmed reports of the presence of federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) members in as many as four vehicles in Downtown Kingston near Van Buren Street and Broadway.

In a Facebook post, Sheilah Davidson of Ulster Rapid Response wrote, “Kingston friends, please share widely. With much caution and without losing calm, there are around 2 or up to 4 vehicles near van buren and Broadway please be careful, so far they have only knocked on a door of van buren.” Davidson also shared a photo and a Facebook post by two others.

Ulster Rapid Response is a team of over 250 volunteers dedicated to investigating residents’ suspicions about the presence of ICE in the county.
