Geno Smith’s first game with the Las Vegas Raiders earned him some praise from Tom Brady .
The Raiders quarterback received a text message from the minority owner after he went 24-of-34 for 362 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Las Vegas’ Week 1 win over Brady’s former New England Patriots team.
“Good game, get ready for the next one,” Brady texted Smith, via Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer .
Brady, who has a 5% minority stake in the Raiders, wasn’t present at Gillette Stadium due to his FOX obligations . But he’s still making his presence known — especially to the quarterback.
Smith’s 362 yards were the most in Raiders history during a quarterback’s debut since Dan Pastorini’s 317 yards in 1980.
