Homicide investigators have confirmed the human remains found in Maple Ridge are of Jessica Cunningham.

Cunningham, 43, had been reported missing July. On Aug. 26, Ridge Meadows RCMP were at her home in the 22800 block of Gillis Place gathering information for the missing person investigation. The remains were found at her home.

On Aug. 27, the B.C. Prosecution Service laid a charge of indignity to human remains against Mylie Andre Barron in relation to this investigation.

“Investigators continue to work to understand the circumstances that led to Jessica’s death,” said Cpl. Sukhi Dhesi, IHIT spokesperson. “Our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones.”
