THE San Francisco 49ers have announced another change to their roster ahead of Week 2.
Early-season injuries to George Kittle and Brock Purdy has given the 49ers headaches as they search for their first Super Bowl championship since 1994.
They've also faced other receiver issues with Brandon Aiyuk and Jordan Watkins.
In an attempt to solve these problems, San Francisco have signed Kendrick Bourne.
He has joined on a one-year deal worth $5 million.
However, the move coincides with the release of Robbie Chosen from the practice squad.
Chosen, 32, made his NFL debut in 2016 for the New York Jets , having gone undrafted earlier in the year.
He called MetLife Stadium home for four seasons before playing for the Carolina Panthers for three years.
