CHICAGO (WNDU) - A Chicago Cubs legend is hanging up his cleats after a 14-year Major League Baseball career.
Anthony Rizzo announced on Wednesday morning that he will retire as a member of the Cubs. He’ll also become an ambassador for the organization.
He will be honored by the team at Wrigley Field this Saturday for his career contributions.
Rizzo played 10 seasons with the Cubs and was a key player on the 2016 World Series team that ended a 108-year championship drought for the franchise.
