STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- Deputies said a man is facing multiple charges after driving into a North Stafford home late Tuesday night.

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) was called to Huff Drive just before 11:30 p.m., where deputies were told a pickup truck had slammed into a parked car and an occupied home.

At the scene, a deputy found a large debris field, which included an uprooted tree, a destroyed light post, a Mercedes with apparent damage and significant damage to a home.

"Like following breadcrumbs back home," SCSO said the deputy followed the path of destruction and found a pickup truck with fresh damage, trying to leave the neighborhood.
